Creative learners!

This week we have been learning about the Riverdale beliefs known as Nga Matapono. At Riverdale we believe we should be Creative, Competent, Self Managers, and Effective Communicators to help us become successful inquiring learners. We have been practicing what we think could make us these things, and have come up with some very clever ideas. Check out our think charts on the wall in our class if you'd like to see some of them! Here are some photos of us being creative by creating something new that we have never tried before.

 

Shape Hunt!

In Maths we have been learning about shapes and their attributes. This week we have been going on shape hunts to find all the different shapes in our classroom or outside at school. We are getting very good at noticing and describing all the different shapes around us!

Clicquot's Visit!

Today LC 16 and LC 15 had a special visit from T.C's dog Clicquot!

We had lots of fun asking questions about Clicquot and watching him do his special dog tricks. We learnt that we have to be very quiet and gentle around animals so we don't scare them. We were all very excited to have Clicquot visit and hope to see him around again soon! A big thanks to Dylan and Max for bringing him over to see us :-)

Welcome to LC 16!
I am the classroom teacher Christina Crowther and I feel very privileged to be working with you and your child over the next year.
We have had a great start to the year in LC 16 and have been getting to know each other well over the past two weeks, we are starting to make lots of new friends in our class!
