BEST DAY EVER!

We do a lot of pretty cool things at school these days but NOTHING compares to what happened today!

BELLE CAME!

We heard her horse and carriage clip clop into school and then she appeared!   She was absolutely beautiful!  We were all amazed to see her!  Our teachers have never seen us so quiet!

Belle sat on a special throne we had made for her.   Then we showed her all our solutions to her friends problems.   We did so well.   She told us all about Fairytale Land.  Did you know she used fairy dust to make herself bigger? And did you know it rains glitter there?  We hope we get some more letters from her friends!

A house for the Three Little Pigs

We made a house for the Three Little Pigs.  It has a moat so the Big Bad Wolf can't get in to the house.   The Three Little Pigs can use a drawbridge to get in and out.

Building our Bridges

Superstar Cool Kid!

In LC 16 today Timothy chose Nicole to be our Superstar Cool Kid for Wednesday. Nicole was chosen for her fantastic tidying during reading time and for her switched on attitude in the classroom today. She was very excited when Timothy chose her and couldn't stop grinning. Way to go Nicole! :-)

Saving Jack

Here is our photostory about how we saved Jack.  We used the Riverdale School Inquiry Model called Te Ako Retinga to help us find a solution for Jack's problem.  Our teachers think we did a pretty awesome job.  If you like our video, please leave a comment in the section below.  We love feedback!

Our Assembly

Today LC 16 and 15 hosted school assembly. We did such a great job and made Miss Crowther and Mrs Lunn very proud! We showed the school some photo stories we made about the Treaty of Waitangi and Nga Matapono so they could see what we have been up to in Piako 2. We even showed some smart moves and art work that we have been working on. Everyone seemed pretty impressed with our clever skills! Well done to everyone that took part, and a big congratulations to our awesome hosts Darian and Macy, you both did a fantastic job :-) 

 

Letter from Storybook Land!

Today in Piako 2 Mrs Helm delivered an urgent letter to us from some famous fairytale characters. The characters wrote to us asking for some help to fix the problems that keep popping up in their stories (Baby bear's chair keeps breaking, Rapunzel can't get up and down from her tower etc) . We were SO excited to get their letter and are very eager to help! We even wrote a letter back telling them how much we would like to help them out. We're hoping we get a letter back with our first problem to solve sometime soon! :-)

Fun Swim

Today the seniors had swimming sports at the Lido so we had some fun of our own in the school pool. We made waves and whirlpools, and had great fun playing and swimming in the water! Miss Crowther can see huge improvements in our water confidence and is pretty impressed with our cool pool skills :-)

The Duathlon

Well done to all students who entered into the duathlon last week. It was wonderful to see lots of us from LC 16 trying hard and giving it our all. I am so proud of everyone who took part, and am sure your parents are too. :-) Big congratulations to everyone who gave it a go or supported their friends, you're awesome!
